Canvas printing is the process of creating a fine work of art using an image. Nowadays, usually giclee printing is done to create canvas pictures out of digital, scanned or a tradition photo. Canvas printing is a wonderful way of preserving memories. If you have a cherished photo which you want to preserve and show to the world, don’t keep it buried in a photo album where it will fade and lose color in 10-15 years. Instead get it made into a canvas pictures which will easily last for at least a couple of centuries.
You can get canvas print done in the UK easily. There are a number of websites based in the country which will do it for you. All you have to do is upload the image to their website and they will get the printing done. You have to choose the kind of framing you want and the canvas print will be delivered to you right at your doorstep. A canvas print has a historical and artistic feel to it which will appeal to your aesthetic senses. Canvas printing UK is also great for people who are looking for beautiful wall art but don’t want to waste a lot of money. Photo on canvas printing is an easy and inexpensive way to take a cherished photo and transform it into a work of art. Digital photos taken with a camera of at least 3 mega pixels will work best because of its good resolution. A traditional photo will also do. If the photo you want printed is old, you can get it restored for a small fee. You have to choose from a variety of framing techniques and sizes. You can choose between a Light Brush or Sepia stroke for your print.
Choosing the correct frame is important. A simple wooden frame looks good but if you want a decorative frame, you can opt for a tinted ornate one. But make sure that the wood that is being used is of good quality or the picture will lose a lot of its durability. The least expensive is the simple wrap where the print is stretched and wrapped around the frame. It is up to you what you want for your canvas picture. You will be surprised at the quality of image canvas printing can produce. The richness of color and sharpness will not be rivaled even by the original image. Previously, dye-based inks were used for this purpose which used to fade with time. But archival inks which are used for giclee printing are longer-lasting. If you like the black and white effect, you can opt to transform your image into a black and white one before the canvas printing. So whether you want to print a photo of your smiling baby, your family on a picnic, your graduation day, your pet or a random shot with your best friend, get it done sitting right where you are.

A photo on canvas can be the perfect gift for a loved one on a special occasion. Or it could be the missing piece in completing your own interior decorating project. But before rushing out to have your portrait enlarged and professionally printed to canvas, letâs investigate a little more about what a canvas photo is anyway.
A photo on canvas is a beautifully enlarged canvas reproduction of your beloved and cherished photo. These masterpieces are created by digitally uploading your image (or mailing it if you have a print photograph) to a custom canvas printing shop. There a digital artist applies a personalized touch and âbrush strokesâ to your printing as it is applied to the canvas fabric. The canvas fabric used is a heavy duty plain-woven cotton that gives your print a distinct texture. In many cases, the quality of these canvas prints is so amazing that these pieces can be passed down as family heirlooms.
When shopping around the various online canvas print shops, you should look for a vendor that is experienced and uses the highest quality printing machines. Also, be sure to ask what kind of inks the shop is using. You are looking for a place that uses âsolventâ, UV-protected inks. Use of these inks will give your print museum archival quality and ensure color fastness.
One step in the canvas printing process that many lesser-known vendors may choose to skip over is the treatment of the photo with multiple coats of protective chemical spray. This spray is clear and gives your canvas photo two additional benefits: 1) it makes your print more abrasion-resistant and 2) gives your photo on canvas additional UV protection. Make sure to ask about this!
Lastly, before finalizing any online order, check the vendorâs return/customer service policy. What you are looking for here is a âguarantee youâll love it or weâll re-do itâ kind of policy. Anything less than this and keep shopping around. You are investing a decent amount of money in a very personal affect and you should expect nothing less than total satisfaction.
Once you have ordered and received your new canvas print (which, by the way, should be packaged and shipped with inordinate caution), you should find yourself extremely satisfied upon viewing the final product. If not, stop right there and give them a call to take advantage of that return policy.
But assuming you are satisfied with the canvas photo, itâs time to find the perfect spot to hang it. Or maybe it is time to give it as a gift. Either way, youâve successfully completed the process of converting your chosen photo into a lovely canvas print. Enjoy!

I know how to order one of my photos on canvas, however I can’t find a place that is cheap. I need some place that does the “split-photo” on canvas for cheap…am I asking to much? Any good ideas?

My first question is: What’s the best/proper pixel count for a 4×6 printed photo? (LengthxWidth)
I’ve heard several different numbers, but what’s the best one?
I’ve got a bunch of digital pictures (all taken by different cameras over time) that had been cropped and edited to all sorts of different sizes.
I’m making a scrapbook thing for a friend of mine, and I gathered all these memories, and wish to take them to Walmart to get them printed out on those fancy self-printing machine things.
My second question is [once I figure out the proper pixel size]… can I basicly open paint, make the canvas size the right amount of pixels for a 4×6 photo, and place the mis-cropped pictures on that canvas, leaving all of the white space, in order to make the actual file the right amount of pixels?
I planned on just cutting out the picture from the white space once it’s printed– if what I said is even possible.
So, will it work? Is there any defects or things that will mess it up?
Is my question/scenario even understandable? Lol
Please, let me know.
Thanks in advance! =D

I have a picture that I want to print on a canvas that has the dimensions of 4288 X 2848 pixels. The size tells me that I can print this full size at 14.3 X 9.5 inches at 300 pixels per inch. I would like to make a larger print of this and, if possible, not lose quality. Can someone help me to understand how I can modify these dimensions to allow for say a 20X30 canvas print without losing quality? I use Adobe Elements 8.
Thanks
